In public tertiary institutions across the nation, the MTN Scholarship Scheme offers academic scholarships to students majoring in Science and Technology as well as Blind Students in any discipline.
Up to 360 new scholarships may be added to the program each year, and existing scholarships may be extended depending on continued academic success.
As long as they meet the necessary cumulative grade point average, each recipient receives scholarship grants totaling N200,000 from the time they are eligible until graduation (CGPA).

Scholarship Information:
The MTN Scholarship Scheme is an annual scholarship that aims to reward and honor deserving high achievers. It consists of the MTN Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students and the MTN Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme (MTN STSS) (MTN SSBS).
This scholarship aims to offer academic scholarships each year to at least 500 students who are enrolled full-time in approved higher institutions (Universities, Colleges of Education, and Polytechnics) throughout Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

Students in their third year at public tertiary institutions who have earned a 3.5 GPA or a Second Class Upper HND are eligible. Students enrolled in the OND Program who have at least a 3.0GPA (Upper Credit) For current students who have maintained a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.5 or its equivalent (second class upper/upper credit), scholarships will be renewed.
Blind students in their second and third years of study in any discipline who have a minimum CCPA of 2.5 or its equivalent are eligible to apply for the SBSS.
Candidates must be qualified 300-level students enrolled in science and technology-related courses at public tertiary institutions (colleges, universities, and polytechnics) and blind students.
Scholarship Length and Compensation
Every year, at least 500 students receive scholarships of N200,000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) apiece to help with the cost of tuition, book costs, and stipends for one academic year.
In the initial round of the project, 500 successful candidates in their second year of study in science and technology-related fields at 44 Federal and State-owned postsecondary institutions received the MTNF Scholarship award.
